3. Open your mouth as much as you can. Pull your lower lip on to your lower teeth. Move your jaw up and down. Feel the tension building up in your neck muscles.

4. Increasing weight can be an important reason behind your double chin. So try and switch to a healthier, balanced diet. Cut down your calories. Go easy on junk food. This will not only help you get rid of your double chin but improve your general health too.

5. Body posture has a large role to play in the way you look. Hunched over shoulders and slumping head not only make you look unattractive but also lead to deposition of fats in different areas of your body including your chin. Avoid slouching and sit upright.

Of course till you are in the process of losing your double chin there are certain cover-ups you can adopt to camouflage it effectively.

1. Makeup if used effectively can hide a lot of flaws. Emphasize your jaw line (by using face powder which is a shade darker than your complexion), rather than your neck. Blend it smoothly from ear to ear and into the neck region. Attractive eye-makeup and colorful blush-ons will keep all eyed diverted from your neck. 2. Avoid necklines that bunch up near your neck or tops that have close, tight collars. They would attract more attention towards your double chin. Try high, open collars instead.

3. Revamp your look by changing your hairstyle. If you have hair that end just on your shoulders then you will more attention towards your double chin. Try short, spiky haircut instead. But of course choose things that match your style and things that you are comfortable in.
